The Kendeda Fund

An organization with passions for social equity and the natural environment, the Kendeda Fund has invested more than $1 billion dollars in programs that foster a more just and equitable world, and promotes the idea that human beings can use resources more wisely and relate to one another more mindfully. Grantees as diverse as Human Rights Watch, Sundance Institute, Montana Conservation Corps, 350.org, Fund for a Safer Future, and PBS were all supported by the Kendeda Fund. Kendeda spent down their full endowment and concluded operations in 2023.

Work for Kendeda included a brand identity refresh, brand guidelines, business stationery, advertising and a hard cover book, Stories of Hope, which tells the story of their impact across focus areas.

As a way to share their legacy and the lessons learned along the way, Kendeda published a series of program reports as part of their spend-down efforts.
